The Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has described the indigenes of Owerri, the state capital as set of ungrateful people who have continued to remain unappreciative despite the efforts his Government are putting to work in beautifying the metropolis.

The Governor claimed that no Governor before him contributed more than him towards the development of the state capital, yet the natives have continued to criticize him and his administration in the genuine efforts he is making in making it a befitting state capital.
Owelle Okorocha said that despite the avalanche of criticisms and opposition he is faced with by the Owerri people, it will not deter him or discourage him in his resolve in making Owerri a modern model state capital which will attract huge businesses and international investors.
