Following the grand and successful 10th anniversary ceremony of Alaigbo Development Foundation that held in Umuahia from 12th to the 14th of July 2024, the leadership of ADF paid a solidarity visit to the family of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB.
The ADF delegation was led by its newly elected president Nze Colman Chukwudelunzu, the immediate past president, Professor Emeritus T. Nwala and a host of others.
During the brief visit, ADF called on the federal government of Nigeria to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who was kidnapped and renditioned to Nigeria from Kenya and have been kept in solitary confinement in the state secret service detention facility the last three years.
They offered prayers for his continual health and poured libation to the earth summoning all the Gods of the land to make sure their son, Nnamdi, comes home soon and safe. ADF maintained that asking for referendum for a people is a constitutional right of every individual and sees no reasons why Mazi Kanu should be kept in indefinite detention for a mere asking for his constitutional and fundamental right.
A palace chief and leader of Afara autonomous community, Afara indigenes, relations and friends were on hand to receive their august visitors and thanked them for their support. The high chief equally acknowledged the great work ADF have been doing across Alaigbo especially in creating awareness for development, good governance and freedom of Igbo people.
