Members of Owerri People’s Assembly (OPA) UK have overwhelmingly voted to support the Rt. Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, the PDP candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in Imo State, Nigeria.

 

The group came to the decision after an exhaustive, thorough and painstaking debate and analysis of the issues affecting Imo state and Nigeria in general. And, for OPA, Sir Emeka Ihedioha came tops among all the candidates contesting the governorship election on the 9, March 2019.

 

The OPA Members (UK) are of the view that Rt. Honourable Emeka Ihedioha is a more reliable person in whom Imo people will be well pleased if voted in as the next governor of the state. And, the reality is there for all of us to see and touch. If the people of Imo State make the mistake of voting in another misfit as the governor, the next four years will be a disaster for the state.

 

Speaking to the AMBASSADOR MAGAZINE, after their meeting, the President of OPA (UK) Elder Adolph Agbasonu said he was very much delighted with the outcome of the meeting because, for the first time, members of OPA (UK) have come together wholeheartedly to support one of our sons who had in many ways made us proud. Honourable Emeka Ihedioha I know is a thoroughbred Igbo man with a can-do attitude, ready and willing to serve his people as the governor. He has promised to rebuild the hospitals and improve the health-care system and above all, improve the lives of the downtrodden in the state.

 

Speaking on the same issue, the Deputy Chairman of OPA, Chief Dr Nick Chikwe said, ‘ I call on the good people of Imo state to come out en masse and vote for Sir Emeka Ihedioha for the revival and autonomy of the Local governments in the state, jobs creation for the ever-growing youth population and the halt in youth migration to other states in the country and more important too, timely payment of salaries and pensions.

 

In his own speech, the Secretary-General of OPA (UK) Chief Sir Emmanuel Ahanonu said, Sir Emeka Ihedioha is a far more reliable Candidate in the race to Imo State Government House and he is the only candidate we can positively work with in terms of attracting Diaspora and Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to the state. Sir Emeka Ihedioha is a man of integrity. He’s a man who believes in good governance and the pointer could be seen in his legislative years in the House of Representatives. We appeal to all the voters in Imo state to come out massively and vote for Honourable Sir Emeka Ihedioha on the 9 March 2019.
