In what looked like a reward for excellence and hard work, the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has named the Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu, political leader of Okigwe Senatorial Zone of the state.

The Governor who was overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd that attended the formal inauguration of the Okigwe People’s Political Movement at the headquarters of the Ihitte-Uboma Council area, Isinweke, stated that with the level of political structures at the disposal of the speaker, it was unquestionable the ability of the Speaker to effectively pilot the affairs of the zone to ensure its survival.

The Governor declared: “With what I am seeing here today, I’m fully convinced that the Speaker has all it takes to lead the people of the zone into the Promised Land”.

He enjoined the people of the zone to give him their maximum support to enable him actualize his vision of making Okigwe zone the epicenter of development and envy of other zones, while assuring the determination of the Rescue Mission led administration in the state to enable him succeed.
