LATE DR ALEX EKWUEME’S FIRST MEMORIAL/SERVICE OF SONGS HELD IN LONDON
The first Inter-faith, Inter-denominational Memorial/Service of Songs for late Dr Alex ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme, GCON (Ide of the Oko Kingdom) and former Vice President of Nigeria was held last Sunday at The Father’s House International church, London. As expected the service of songs was attended by many Nigerians in Diaspora and friends of Nigeria from various Communities in the UK
In his sermon, the Reverend Rex Chosen reeled off Dr Alex Ekwueme’s exploits in Business, Politics and Humanitarian services to his fatherland and the world. He said the late Vice President Ekwueme without any blemish served his country during his time and that’s one of the reasons every Nigerian who knew him is mourning his passing to the great beyond.
The Reverend Rex chosen thereafter prayed for the Soul of Dr Alex Ifeanyichikwu Ekwueme to Rest in Peace. And praying for the Ekwueme family, Reverend Chosen used Mr Paul Ekwueme who represented the family as a point of contact to the Ekwueme family and asked God to give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
As the Council of Igbo Communities (UK) led by Chief Mike Ndukwe have kick-started the Church services for Dr Ekwueme’s funeral, the next will be The Family Memorial Service on Saturday 27th January, 2018 at ST. MARYLEBONE PARISH CHURCH, London,
