INVITATION TO THE 5TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IGBO FESTIVAL OF ARTS AND CULTURE UK & IRELAND LONDON 2017

 

The Congress of Igbo Leaders UK and Ireland hereby announces this year’s date for the 5th Year Celebration of the prestigious Igbo Festival of Arts and Culture London 2017. The Igbo Festival of Arts and Culture UK is the most attainded Igbo festival outside Igbo land. The highlights of the event included Igbo cultural plays, dance and drama, masquerades, traditional dances, traditional artists, art exhibitions of contemporary Igbo conceptual  painting, sculpture, carving and craft,  displays of historical and traditional artefacts showcased in splendour to the British community

The event will showcase the rich Igbo culture and heritage to the British community and friends of Africa. The event will kick off at 11.am with grand traditional opening ceremonies of great significance by eminent Igbo sons and daughters from Nigeria, Europe and the UK including South Eastern States and the Deputy Senate President, will be the Special Guests of Honour.

All the members of the National Assembly from the South Eastern States, the Honourable Ministers from the Region, the Speakers of the State Houses of Assembly and Former State Governors will be invited as expected as Guests of Honour. Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho of Integrated oil & gas ltd and former Minister of Interior will be the chairman of the occasion at which very many distinguished and accomplished business leaders like Mr Pascal Dozie, Dr A.B.C Orjiako, Chief Arthur Eze, Prof Anya, Mr Emeka Onwuka, Prof Pat Utomi, Chief Henry Okolo, Chief Ekesi, Chief Julius Ama Orji, Dr Chidi Anyaegbu, Chief Augustine Anozie, Dr Stella Okoli, Chief Charles Odunukwe, Chief Emeka Ugwu-Oju and a host of others including the young and upcoming will be in attendance. Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe CFR, the Obi of Onitsha and Obi Gibson Nwosu, Eze-Uzu of Awka will lead a team of very Revered Traditional Rulers as the Royal Host to the event.

Several distinguished Academics and Business Leaders from the Diaspora will be in attendance as well leaders of other Pan-Igbo organizations, church Leaders including Archbishop Obinna, Archbishop Chukwuma, Archbishop Ede and the CAN Chairman in the South East will lead top Bishops and Clergy to the event.

We are inviting humanity, friends of Ndigbo and people with business interests to be our guests to celebrate this great day with us. The event will be very interactive, will afford guests the opportunity to meet and interact with the Igbo people of Nigeria. It will provide detailed insight into the traditions and cultures of the Igbo people.
