Nigeria Closes All Borders for the Presidential Election

Nigeria’s Ministry of Interior Affairs has announced the closure of all land and sea borders for Saturday’s Presidential elections.

In a statement signed and released by Abubakar Magaji Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior Affairs, the closure takes effect from Midnight Wednesday March 25, to Midnight Saturday, March 28.

The closure, statement added is “to allow for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming National Elections”. The Immigration Service has also been directed to ensure that non Nigerians do not participate in the elections
