IMO STATE UNION OF ELDERS, UK, CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY AND CONGRATULATES HIS EXCELLENCY, SIR EMEKA IHEDIOHA, CON. ON HIS ELECTION VICTORY

It was enjoyment galore as Members Imo State Union of Elders, UK celebrates their 10th anniversary in London. The anniversary celebration attracted many people from other parts of Europe and Nigeria.

The highlights of the event include Igbo cultural plays, Music, Dance and Traditional dances.

 

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Imo State Union of Elders, UK, Elder Adolph Agbasonu on behalf of the Union congratulated His Excellency, Rt. Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, the Governor of Imo State, for his overwhelming victory at the last election. He said the victory of Sir Emeka Ihedioha, CON, is a testimony that God answered the prayer of the people of Imo State in the last election. ‘Sir Emeka Ihimo-elders-group-photoshoppededioha I know believes in good governance and his record as a legislator is second-to-none. And, I believe he will transparently serve the people of Imo State’, Elder Agbosonu said.

 

Elder Agbasonu also thanked guests for honouring the Union’s invitations individually and as groups. He said the Union had come a long and faced many challenges. But the challenges notwithstanding, the Union is today 10 years stronger and the membership is increasing every month.

Imo State Union of Elders is a non-profit Community Organization of Imo state indigenes living in the UK who are 60 years and over. The Union was founded in 2009 and has served as a platform where Imo State Elders in the UK meet to socialize and discuss issues of importance affecting them. Members of the Union meet once every month.
