The choice of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume as the APGA flag bearer for Imo is a welcome development. 

To some, he may not be their preferred choice especially those that have been with APGA from the beginning. The reality of the 2019 gubernatorial contest in Imo today is that even his greatest opponents accept the fact that Senator Araraume is unarguably one of the three leading contenders for Imo Gubernatorial. He has many things going for him. 

He is consistent, Nde Imo need a very strong character that can chase Ndi Agburu ojoo out of Douglas House Owerri. Not only winning the elections but recover Imo looted assets. Araraume can protect APGA votes. He can mobilize formal and informal security. He can mobilize resources to run the election. Imo leaders across the zones accept his leadership. He is humble. His name instils fears in Okorocha and that is why Okorocha has fought so hard to remove him from the race. Araraume is organised and can put Imo back on track after many years of destruction by Okorocha and co. 

I salute the NWC of APGA, the leader, Governor Obiano, Ozonkpu Victor Oye, Senator Victor Umeh, Senator Osita Izunaso, all APGA aspirants, State Chairman and all the leaders of the party globally. It’s a new day. To senator Araraume, history beckons. You must unify the state and the party. It’s a historic burden you must carry. 

To all APGA faithful, its business unusual. The bigger interest of APGA is the focus. We must jettison sentiments, PROPAGANDA, undue influence and pressure and put APGA First. Nde Imo, the moment of decision has come. Araraume is the choice! , Araraume has the three Cs. Capacity, Capacity and capacity. Imo must be recovered from the looters!
To those who did not make it, tomorrow is another day. You must close ranks and win for Imo and APGA. We are all winners. To God be all the glory.
